Who is the creator of D-day models

Post by Six-Shoota » Sat Aug 17, 2013 2:56 am

I'm making a mod in Quake 1 and I'm using the models form D-day. Does anybody knows who is the author, so I could ask him for a permission to use the models. My QuakeC code is half finished and coding new animations will be pain in the ass.

I think asking parts is a good start. I don't know that he did all of them but he was involved with the project back then.

Do what you want with them! Keep in mind that only the GBR skins are mine.

I didn't do the German or Russian skins, or the weapon models for those teams.
I did the player models for all teams and the GBR skins and weapons.

Fafner did the Russian stuff and Darwin did the German skins. I don't know exactly who did the German weapon models.

I seen this from the old D-Day web site that Scott Ruggels' WW2 GI Model (Public Q2 version, not required to play D-Day) was around. This is a link to more info here I found. http://planetquake.gamespy.com/View.php ... ail&id=444
Here is some of the info copied
This is a model of a WW2 US Solider, or allied soldier using US equipment of WW2 vintage (Free French, Brazilian, Late war Australians, Republic or Korea during Korean War, RVN, Mexico, oe anyone supplied with US style gear.)

12/15/ 98==================================== ============================Model Name : WW2GIinstallation directory : quake2/baseq2/players/WW2Soldier Author : Scott A. H. Ruggels Skin Author : Scott A. H. Ruggels and Email Address : scott.ruggels@3do.comModel description : This is a model of a WW2 US Solider, or allied soldier using US equipment of WW2 vintage (Free French, Brazilian, Late war Australians, Republic or Korea during Korean War, ARVN, Mexico, oe anyone supplied with US style gear.) Night Rider, tnx. May be I'll include it in the game.Does anybody knows some free source of tunes. I've implemented dynamic music (idle music, fight music etc.) that plays independent of the map setted CD track.
