The Road - Preview Screenshots

Thought I would post pics of my map that I will release in the near future! Still needs quite a bit of work texturing wise/beautifying .. but the layout is complete :)

It is quite beautiful, though have you had several play it together to see if it plays well? I would hate to see you spend all that time and then it isn't played because it isn't good play. Not saying it will, but have done it myself.

Nice bridge. :) Layout looks good.
Have you tried to use one of the blended terrain shaders on those beziers? The q3map_alphaMod dotproduct2 function will wrap the textures on the beziers much better. It changes the blending per the slope of the patch. Edit this with the 2 textures you want to use on your terrain and copy/paste into dday2/scripts/rbd_terrain.shader and baseq2/scripts/rbd_terrain.shd

Also, that flag can look better(be lit right) and have a ripple effect if you replicate the script in rbd_decor.shader for the naziflag_1....call it naziflag_2

Also munf I will set up a test time when it is closer to being finished. I suppose I could add in bots to see what it may look like!.. If anyone is interested to test as is... to test the layout.. we could do that as well :)

Don't take what I said as negative, just I found that I built what I thought were great maps but they played badly, and you have put in such good effort here it needs to be played.

And my brother and I, and Slemkatt, tested maps with MYNF and they still don't get played!

Rabid, I tried with that shader and it looks great on top the beizers but onthe sharp angles even worse stretching happens

I too was confused at first also about the Boons. How about all them Mac Sogs out there. There like 2 or 3 of them running around.

1 and 2 are legit, the rest is just tagging along. I think Julhelm was 1 of those and I used #5 or 6 at some point.
