Re: Dirk's server

I understand the frustrations in the lag issues recently, please be patient.

I believe to have found and stopped the cause of the lags. If you want me to get technical, I can.

Gummy and Kvaki stated that they didn't see any lags after I isolated and corrected the issue.

Thanks!

Dirk was there anything in the server cfg file that was causing the lag to happen?

It was runaway ldap connections. No config changes.

Any clue on how much bandwidth traffic the server has per month?

Fellow ddayers, both servers (Ohio & New Jersey) I run are in the possible zones to lose power based due to Hurricane Sandy.

Stay safe New Englanders!

My main server which is listed above will be down for maintenance for an unknown amount of time. Please continue to use my other server.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I was not aware you had more than one server, since only the one at 99.190.136.76:27910 has ever show up for me. What's the alternate ip, please?

Getting a "fatal http error" on connect for downloading missing files, so I have you have to download them via quake 2 rather than http. You might need to update something in the config to the new address, I'm guessing.

Any changes in the server code lately that might affect stability. Every time invade1 was on today, the server crashed.

You know, you all could set up a server on your computer so there are more, so there is more dependability. It isn't that hard.
