Does anyone know how to turn off the flow messages?

Seeing as I never read the messages going by because they are so fast is it possible to have them not appear on the screen, clean things up, lean things up?

It reduces overflow, as so many messages mixed with a lot of bots mixed with the hi rez textures can cause an overflow. Or I think that is what is happening, Anyway, that is how it is done. If you put it in your boot up folder with bots loading and all it happens, When players join there is a message, just not the flow of who killed who and such things.

I seen that people been overflowing a lot on Dirk's now but I was thinking it was because he down graded his internet speed.

Didn't he just change ip addresses and services? That might do it. On my computer as I play with things I have 8 bots per sides but allow for two more, and suppress the messages other than players joining, and only had one overflow so far in three weeks. I think it is a combination of messages, so many bots and and frames of things exploding and shooting, and not using all the bot allowances, though I don't know for certain as I am not an expert. Still trying to figure out how to run the server properly so others can get on it.

set msg 4 //stops chatter messages and reporting players dying.
set flood_msgs 4 //Number of messages before protection activates
set flood_persecond 4
set bots 1
set maxclients 18
set alliedlevel 8
set axislevel 8

I just played a couple rounds of my hi rez maps and experienced no overflow. I also did not use the first line about msg 4 which turns off messages. So I am guessing the first two lines above set an amount of messages the server will allow and the second tells it to ignore anything over. Then the allowing for more bots than are actually in game also helps. Not an expert on this but it seems to be working. Even with all the explosions and fragments (which are all added frames) it seems to work.

Well that does really sound good if it helps stop the over flows from happening. The bots do chat to much it seems. One even wanted to kick me . lol
