The whole Downloads section of this page is worthless now since Fileplanet is shutting down.

I just replaced the link with a link to the download. 90% of it was useless anyway. Maybe someone else could put something together, especially a map archive. I'm not holding my breath though.

Maybe I can help. It shouldn't be a problem to upload all the maps its only ~700mb. I have 3GB on my Dropbox account and the time is on my side,I have plenty of it.

oh ok Really sorry to hear that. I could have mirrored them all also on my web site. Maybe AfrowUK has a backup of them. Everything I Google just goes back to Fileplanet.

I'm going to check my old PC's when I visit home at the weekend for my missing downloads.

That gave me an idea! .. I also might have some of these files on my old desktop computer.
It got screwed up, but I should be able to boot it just to extract the files.

I had every single file stored in my "original install files" folder .. (But that HDD craped out on me.)
I know/'just recalled' I re-downloaded a lot of it though..

And I am sure I burnt it on a CD .. Back before the HDD craped ..

Would be neat to get it all together again, if nothing else; for the nostalgia of it! :D
I dont need no stupid signature..

Thank you Gomp Its exactly what I been doing here. Finding these great lost files because of the nostalgia and part of the history of this site that made this game what it is and made it so great. Just how many good things were lost with
fileplanet going down maps ,textures ,demos and soundpacks. I am happy to say its like 85% backup and just missing some of the old file's. There are some file's I am still looking for but its so much better than before not being there at all .
Also Joey take a look here its a link too make HD video's for Quake2 so it should work for you in D-Day also
