Re: Configuring Quark

Perfect english ? :S thats irony ?? xD
Well my english is good but not perfect.
Anyway got another doubt, can "misc_md2" be solid? I've looked for forums and found people talking about "phys_md2" but don't know how that even works.

Re: Is anyone else?

There are other servers that have good connections and theres no one playing ever... People should care about them, admins should care about people to know they're available. What we have now its a long time of people don't caring for anything. Servers full with noobs, with people arguing with each ...

Re: Dust II (modify to dday)

Yes, I had a dust2.bsp in my dday map folder, but I wasnt able to play. Egl went up with an error and litegl just crashed. It says its been made but the same guy, but the old version said also "converted by tanatovago" :S. This version is good but the crates as ladders are normal? Some are some aren...

Configuring Quark

Once again I'm trying some things with Quark... Since last updates, maps and stuff, my textures folder has some png and other type of files that Quark refuses to open. To solve this, I think Quark must be set for doing Quake 3 maps, so that way opens most type of textures. But then normal quake 3 te...

Re: Programming

Yup I know but I don't complicate myself changing compilers :P. Just wanted to name some ones. Well I usually have some troubles trying to port old projects (2003 or 2005 to 2008) but yup, I agree the lastest version uses to be the best. I've insisted to my teacher to use the 2008 edition in class :...

Re: Programming

Well the sources were available on ddaynormandy.com if I'm right... They're compiled in C, and there are lots of free compilers. I've worked with DevC++, its nice to learn but not very good debugging. Also, there's Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 C++ Express Edition (that is free), think there's a 2005...

Re: Setting up a new server

I made some small servers in my own PC for D-Day but due to my limited upload speed its not a very good solution for a "normal server"
I've had some CS:S servers that I rented too, so I know a little of the basics.
So, I can help you with whatever you want.

Re: Does anyone have a link for dragon2.bsp?

With a little time we could share the needed textures, tough I'm missing some too. If the original zip file doesn't appear we will have to do that.

Re: Did you know you could...

Well I think I've seen tie games (not very often) And the hmg is hard if its on the ground, if the other player moves you can kill him. While standing up you could only aim to high areas. But the first one, by Landing on them you mean the airborne when spawning? Or just if you jump on some player wi...

Most releases have things similar to synaptics. Synaptic is based on "apt-get" and also there is "yum" that does the same. For regular software is the easy answer :P

Re: thedoghouse upgrade

If want linux for making a server I'd recommend CentOS. Has more options and more server-oriented than Ubuntu.
Also, I'm planning to install it on my other pc tonight and see how it goes.
