what kind of models do you need? Some .DM3 stuff right? I advice you to post a list of what you need, and how much detail it should get (polycount). And because I am laying the groundworks for some dday+ atm (mainly research and drawing out the maps) I can use the mapkit. I will try to help with mod...

That is true, but Echon sad it would be possible to build an EGL version for Dday only to make big maps. Only downside was, that it wouldn't be compatible with regular Quake2 servers anymore, so imho no downside. Does somebody know Echon? Is it possible that he can explain what needs to be done, or ...

Rab,d do you know what the map size limitations are of EGL, because i read that an older build was limited to 4096x4096 units like Quake2 is, but the Quake 3 net code could handle up to 16384x16384 and the Q3bsp format een 16 times the quake3 format. Do the latest EGL versions support bigger maps? (...

Well I have found a way to get it to work.You take a standard nQuark map, put all the necessary entities in it, save it as a .map Then you take another installation of a later Quark version, and set that one up with Quake III, build the map complete with everything and compile. Well ETpro, is absolutely not my taste. But go ahead and go to another OLD game ( I am not saying that playing old games is bad, I play dday don't I ;) ). I know as long as there stil be people playing dday, I will play it to.

Well this engine had NO GHOUL. That was one of the great features of SOF. It makes the killing more realistic, concerning damage etc.
And this engine from looking at the features doesn't support detail texturing.
But That EGL engine is looking very good.

LOL it is a nickname. But you won't understand it because you aren't Dutch. And even if you were Dutch, you wouldn't know what it means. Taking 24bit textures on the standard dday maps, would be a difficult task. Because how do you make new textures without totaly changing the original look. Now I ...

hmmzz... SOF is free like dday. And yes I would remake the maps. and mapping for SOF is pretty much the same as for dday. It is also quake2!!! And Grim I wil be waiting. But what are you making than?? A new map??? Or is it something bigger? PS. Because converting the maps to SOF is not at all dific...
