Re: Revoltionary russian tank

The Russians had a round battleship. Not one of the better ideas. The tank is worse. Ever see the KV-2 tank of World War II? They don't make 'em like that any more. A model: http://www.redorchestragame.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20749&highlight=kv-2 152mm howitzer, in World War II. Yowza. More photo...

Re: Italian DLL is it almost out yet?

Sounds really neat! I can't remember the last time I played my guitars. =(

We moved a couple months ago and still haven't gotten settled. Our girl's about eight months old, which explains most of our time shortages. Everyone's doing fine, tho.

Re: A heartwarming little melody

Well if you like that song, how about this bit of information. In current day tank battles, the velocity of the shells are such that they penetrate the hull, liquefying the hull at the impact point, and thus throwing hot liquid steel all over the insides. Then as the shell exits out the other side ...

Red Orchestra free trials

If anyone wants to give Red Orchestra: Ostfront a free try, post in the forums at redorchestragame.com. Everyone just got two passes (I offered mine to family). You need about a 3ghz processor to play well, I'm told. It's an evolved form of D-Day, I swear. =) http://sniper156.shackspace.com/Other/11...

I have no idea what's in that ZIP you're using as a base, but if you're able to play it without bugs, great! =)

I had a QuickStart guide floating around somewhere. I can send you a .PDF if you'd like, but it's probably still linked in a thread.

Cool! I hope you based this on that 7-Zip based installer I did, the ... 189mb? standalone installer linked from the main page. There were a bunch of little tiny updates that had to get folded into that thing, and it was a -real- pain in the ass. Looks nice to me, and I'm glad you're looking for new...

I still have massive memory leak problems. Go figure.

Here's what I've got on one computer:
1-ClickWeather is supposed to be less leaky than Forecast Fox. Dunno if it is.

Apparently the main servers were down for a while, too, possibly due to sunspots ... ? Was some talk in the RO:O forums. FYI, Steam is going to start offering some "gift subscriptions" or something. Like, maybe for $5 you could let a friend (or yourself) try a particular game. Sounds like a neat ide...

Rgr that. I never cared a lot for the original version, but loved the way they used the song in 'Donnie Darko.'

You ever try that movie? It's crazy, but damned good.

This ad impressed me. It's for Gears of War. I love the song, best known from Donnie Darko:
